HENFIELD.

The village of Henfield in West Sussex with a population of under 5,000 lies approximately half way between the City of Brighton and Hove and Horsham.  As well as Henfield's 13th century St. Peter's Church the village has several old Inns and farms.

'BLUNDENS'.

'Blundens' is an old farm which lies at the end of Stonepit Lane close to 'Amy's Cottage' and 'Lashmars Hall' in the village of Henfield.
In 1871 William Cutress and his family were living at 'Blundens' and in 1881 one of his younger brothers, John Cutress, was the farmer of the property whilst William Cutress farmed 'Lancasters'.
William and John Cutress were cousins of Ann Septima Cuttress who married Benjamin Jesse Baldey in Edburton in 1858.  He was born in Falmer and they lived in 'Septima Cottage' in Fulking.
