THE JUNORS OF AVOCH ON THE BLACK ISLE, SCOTLAND

meg'sphoto.jpg

My great-great-great-grandparents Donald Junor (1795-1868) and Mary Junor (nee McIntosh) earlier known as Margaret Provost (1804-1889).  She had a sister named Margaret McIntosh so had to change her first name as well.  In the late 1700s my McIntosh ancestors changed their surname from 'Provost' to 'McIntosh'.

Donald and Mary lived at "Arkendeith" in Avoch on the Black Isle in Rosshire, Scotland.

Below is their second son, Donald and his wife Bridget.

Donald and Bridget were married in Gisborne, Victoria, Australia where they raised their family. They farmed there for some years before moving to Epping in Victoria.
