THE JUNORS OF AVOCH ON THE BLACK ISLE, SCOTLAND
Mary Junor

Mary Junor was the daughter of Donald and Mary Junor (nee McIntosh) and was born on the Black Isle, Rosshire, Scotland on the 14th February, 1841.

Mary sailed from Southampton on the "Robert Small" on the 11th June, 1863 and arrived in Melbourne on the 16th September, 1863. On the shipping list it stated that Mary was a Housemaid, a Presbyterian and could read and write. She was aged 24 years. Mary went to live with her brother Donald at Gisborne.

Mary married Alfred Barbour in 1864. They had eight (8) children, Alfred, Elizabeth, Alexander James, Lillian Ann, Ada Isabella, Emily, Charlotte and Francis.

Mary died in 1917 aged 85 years.
